Latest Updates from Our Project:

Rolling Heights is at the Factory!
almost 2 years ago – Tue, May 10, 2022 at 11:52:33 PM

Just yesterday, we placed our order with the factory and sent along all the updated print files they need to begin mass production.

All of the tools needed to make the plastic pieces had been made and approved long before we ran this Kickstarter, so the only updates that the factory needed were the revised print files and the new print files for the expansions that were unlocked during the campaign.

Next, we’ll go through a thorough proofing process to ensure that this game comes out of the factory just right.

As you may have heard, parts of China where board games are made have been impacted by closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The factory that is making this game is only tangentially impacted at this time. That means that the factory is in operation, but is somewhat hindered by interrupted transportation of materials in and out of the factory. While we have our fingers crossed that these conditions won’t slow us down, we’re planning ahead for possible delays.

Right now, we don’t have much to show for this progress other than a pile of paperwork, but we’re looking forward to sharing pictures with you when we get physical proofs!

Late Pledges now Open and the Timeline for the Pledge Manager
about 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 07:14:23 PM

Thanks to all who backed Rolling Heights!

We have finished the setup for the campaign on BackerKit and have opened the Late Pledge system. If you missed the Kickstarter you can now back the campaign here:

https://rolling-heights.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

If you backed the campaign (even at $1) your access to the pledge manager is coming soon. It takes Kickstarter about 14 days to complete the post-campaign tasks to charge backer credit cards and transmit funds to our account. As soon as that process is done we'll send the Surveys from BackerKit via email. You do not need to take any action at this time. We will transmit another Update when the Surveys have been sent.

Waterfront Preview Building Preview!
about 2 years ago – Fri, Feb 25, 2022 at 04:13:09 PM

As we enter the final week, I thought I'd preview 2 of the recently added Waterfront Buildings. These buildings MUST be played next to a water space. This is shown on the right side of the tile underneath the building type.

You know who lives next to water in big cities? Rich people! By building the Shoreside Estates, you'll be rewarded with 3 bonus "spending cubes." These cubes aren't used to complete buildings, but instead are used to pay for things like new building plans or expensive lots.

Next up is the Seaside Boardwalk. When you complete this building, you get 3 VP and a meeple. What kind of meeple? Well that depends on what the Boardwalk is built next to! You'll want to build this one next to buildings that give high value meeples like City Planners, Riveters, or Civil Servants.

This campaign ends on Friday. Thanks again for you support and please share the campaign with your friends (and enemies - why not?). I'll try to sneak in another preview before the end of the campaign and maybe one more fun announcement...
